The Directorate of Intelligence (DI) seeks Engineers and Scientists to analyze challenging national security issues, such as foreign weapons development, weapons proliferation, information warfare and emerging technologies. These Engineers and Scientists will serve as professional intelligence officers, applying their scientific and technical knowledge to solving complex intelligence problems, and presenting their assessments to senior policymakers.
Minimum requirements include a bachelor's or master's degree in: Aerospace Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; Electrical Engineering; Computer Engineering; Computer Science; Nuclear Engineering; Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Chemical Engineering; Biotechnology and Microbiology; Physical Sciences; or Remote Sensing/GIS. Counterintelligence (CI) Analysts identify, monitor and analyze the efforts of foreign intelligence entities against US persons, activities and interests, including the threats posed by emerging technologies to US operations and interests.
All candidates must possess excellent analytical, written and oral English communications skills, and a strong ability to think creatively when approaching issues. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines are also needed. Foreign language proficiency and foreign area knowledge gained through study, travel or work abroad are desirable, and a GPA of 3.2 or better on a 4.0 scale is required.
